Onions! for January 13th
— Some information is starting to trickle in on DeAndre Kane’s ankle injury. Signs are starting to point towards Kane giving it a go tonight in their Big Monday matchup vs #15 Kansas. Fran Fraschilla and Doug Gottlieb have both tweeted saying they have sources who say Kane will go. And Kane himself tweeted out the following below. I would think he wouldn’t tweet out a picture of him getting treatment and that the ankle was feeling good unless he thought he would play. We shall see.
— Continuing with the theme of injuries, no injury might have been bigger to their team this season than the one of Spencer Dinwiddie on Saturday in Colorado’s loss on the road at Washington. Dinwiddie went down on a non-contact play and appeared to be in serious pain. Early reports out of Boulder are that it could be a season-ender. We’ll wait to hear further confirmation.
— On a lighter note, look at this sweet video of Mississippi State head coach Rick Ray dancing in the locker room following their win over rival Ole Miss this weekend. Even Marshall Henderson would approve.
