Here’s our late Sunday night, early Monday morning bracket following this weekend’s action. Moving forward, I will have two bracket releases per week, with hopefully some quick write-ups and explanations regarding each new version.

  • 12 – St. John’s, Seton Hall, Old Dominion, Green Bay, Harvard
  • 13 – Bowling Green, Stephen F. Austin, Murray State, Wofford
  • 14 – Eastern Washington, Iona, UC Davis, Georgia State
  • 15 – William & Mary, North Carolina Central, South Dakota State, Florida Gulf Coast
  • 16 – High Point, Albany, New Mexico State, Bucknell, St. Francis NY, Texas Southern
  • Last 4 IN: Tulsa, Illinois, St. John’s, Seton Hall

A quick note on the last 4 in. You’ll notice on the seed list, I have Tulsa and Illinois as 11 seeds and St. John’s and Seton Hall as 12 seeds. According to NCAA rules, the fourth-to-last at-large team is supposed to play the third-to-last at-large team (in this case, Tulsa and Illinois), and the second-to-last at-large team is supposed to play the final at-large team (St. John’s and Seton Hall). Due to St. John’s and Seton Hall being in the same conference and playing twice this season, they would not play each other in one of the First Four games. Therefore, Seton Hall is bumped up to an 11-seed to play Tulsa, and Illinois is bumped down to a 12-seed to play St. John’s.

  • First 4 OUT: Temple, Davidson, Boise State, Purdue
  • Next 4 OUT: St. Mary’s, Wyoming, Rhode Island, NC State

Breakdown by Conference:

  • Big 12: 7
  • Big East: 7
